In 2019 Mr. Clayton had an idea to support people of African Descent who were dealing with kidney disease and in March of that year he had formulated the idea of creating leather bags to replace plastic disposable bags.

In April of that year a license was applied for and granted by the Nova Scotia Gambling Association to raffle off leather bags that were to be produced.

Mr. Clayton, a retired Upholsterer, made 12 bags, volunteers were found to sell tickets. 100 tickets were sold per bag and then one ticket would be drawn. Approximately $6,000 was raised to support the activities of the association and ten families, dealing with dialysis, were able to receive transportation, meals and accommodation support. Unfortunately, Covid-19 struck and the lottery activities have since been on hold.
